How Pocketly works

Pocketly checks real UK switching offers against your situation and tells you whether a switch is worth it, what you’d have to do and when you’d be paid. Sometimes the answer is “not now”.

The four steps

  1. Your situation

Your bank, its Direct Debits, and the money you could move for a few days.

No bank logins or account numbers, ever.

  2. A few answers

Banks pay only new customers, so most questions are about your history with them.

Only questions that could change the answer.

  3. The decision

Switch, in which order, and what it’s worth after costs. Or don’t switch now, and why.

Counted only when your answers confirm you qualify.

  4. Your plan

Every step dated, with reminders, and a record you can use if a bank doesn’t pay.

Planned to the safe end of every range.

Do the quick checkSee the offers

What it does

  • Checks offers whose terms a person has reviewed. Every offer is a real bank’s, taken from its own terms.
  • Counts a reward only when your answers confirm you qualify, and takes off fees and the interest you’d give up.
  • Plans dates to the safe end of any range and never uses your safety buffer.
  • Keeps a record you can use if something goes wrong.

What it never does

  • Contact your bank, apply for you or move money.
  • Ask for bank logins, card numbers or account numbers.
  • Suggest setting up payments just to qualify, or dipping into your buffer.

About the information

Facts about the Current Account Switch Service are in our own words; see currentaccountswitch.co.uk. Offer conditions are paraphrased from each bank’s terms, with a link to them. Pocketly is free and isn’t paid by banks.
